Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg

Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Abang Openg is a Malaysian politician serving as the sixth Premier of Sarawak since 2017. A long-standing member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), he has represented the constituency of Gedong in the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly since 2021, having previously served the Satok seat for four decades. As the chairman of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition, he has focused his leadership on state autonomy, inclusive development, and economic diversification. His administration is noted for establishing the Development Bank of Sarawak and steering the state toward significant revenue growth through strategic investments.
