Data Sources & Methodology
How We Build Poliple
Our mission is to provide an accessible, transparent, and highly organized database of global political leaders. To achieve this, our platform relies on a robust data aggregation pipeline that curates and normalizes public records from around the world.
1. Aggregation from Public Sources
Our data is carefully curated from multiple open sources. These include, but are not limited to:
- Official government and parliamentary portals
- Open-source encyclopedias (primarily Wikipedia)
- Official public accounts and press releases
- Open election records and political archives
By synthesizing information from these diverse platforms, we aim to present a comprehensive and flat overview of each politician's career without political bias.
2. Data Curation & AI Integration
Processing the vast amount of global political data requires advanced technology. We utilize automated data retrieval systems and state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist in summarizing complex political histories into readable, concise profiles.
This technology also allows us to maintain a standardized format (such as unifying names to a ‘Given-Family’ structure and standardizing organizational roles) across different nations, languages, and cultures.
3. Accuracy and Updates
We process an enormous volume of global data, and the international political landscape changes constantly due to rapid elections, cabinet reshuffles, and sudden resignations. Therefore:
- The data is provided for informational purposes only.
- Due to the massive scale of the database, we cannot guarantee absolute, real-time accuracy for every individual profile.
- We highly encourage users to refer to primary government sources for official verifications.
4. Community Feedback
We believe that transparency and accuracy are collective efforts. If you spot an error, an outdated photo, or a broken link, please use our Contact & Feedback page to report the issue. Your contributions help us keep the Poliple a reliable resource for citizens worldwide.
