Abdul Wachid

Abdul Wachid is an Indonesian politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI). Representing the Central Java II electoral district, he has been a consistent member of the legislature since 2009. Before entering politics, he established himself as a successful entrepreneur in the sugar industry and served as the chairman of the Indonesian Sugarcane Farmers Association (APTRI). A key figure in the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) in Central Java, he has focused his legislative work on agriculture, plantations, forestry, and food security, leveraging his extensive background in farming advocacy.
