Afonso Hamm is a Brazilian politician and agronomist currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the state of Rio Grande do Sul. A member of the Progressives (PP) party, he has held his seat since 2005. Before his national legislative career, he served as a city councilor in Bagé and as the city's secretary of agriculture. An agronomy graduate from the Federal University of Pelotas, Hamm previously worked as a professional football player and led the Rice Growers Association of Bagé.
