Aino-Kaisa Pekonen

Aino-Kaisa Pekonen is a Finnish politician who has served as a member of the Parliament of Finland since 2011, representing the Tavastia constituency. A member of the Left Alliance, she previously served as the Minister of Social Affairs and Health from 2019 to 2021. Before entering national politics, she worked as a practical nurse. In addition to her parliamentary duties, she is active in local politics as a member of the municipal council of Riihimäki and has held various leadership roles within her party.
