Akara Phromphao is a Thai politician currently serving as a Member of the House of Representatives for Phayao's 1st constituency. He has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Social Development and Human Security and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Prior to his national parliamentary career, he served as the Chief Executive of the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organization. He is the younger brother of prominent politician Thamanat Phromphao and has been active in various political parties, including the Palang Pracharath and Pheu Thai parties, before joining the Kla Tham Party.
