He is the founder and president of Raijor Dal and the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), known for leading numerous anti-corruption campaigns, protests against big dams, and agrarian advocacy in Assam. He has received awards such as the Shanmugam Manjunath Integrity Award and the Right to Information Award.
