和田 明子

Akiko Wada is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Nagano Prefectural Assembly. Born in 1959 in Toyono, she worked at Hachijuni Bank before becoming involved in local mother support movements and later working for the Japanese Communist Party's prefectural assembly group secretariat. First elected to the Nagano Prefectural Assembly in 2007, she has since been re-elected multiple times. Her political focus includes child-rearing support, local livelihood issues, and regional policy development.
