Alberto Barachini

Alberto Barachini is an Italian politician and journalist currently serving as the Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with responsibility for information and publishing in the Meloni government. A member of Forza Italia, he was first elected to the Senate of the Republic in 2018, where he chaired the Parliamentary Supervisory Commission for Rai. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career as a journalist and editor at Mediaset, notably working for TG4 and Tgcom24. He is also an academic who has taught television journalism at various Italian universities.
