Alex Skarlatos is an American politician and former Oregon Army National Guard soldier currently serving as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives for the 4th district. He assumed office in January 2025 and serves as the deputy minority leader. Skarlatos gained international prominence in 2015 for his role in thwarting a terrorist attack on a Thalys train in France, an act for which he received the Legion of Honour.
