Alex Sobel

Alex Sobel is a British Labour and Co-operative politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Leeds Central and Headingley since 2024, having previously represented Leeds North West from 2017 to 2024. A former social enterprise professional and Leeds city councillor, Sobel is a prominent advocate for climate and environmental policy, having served as a Shadow Minister and as a founding member of the Net Zero APPG. In January 2025, he was appointed as the Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Ukraine, reflecting his active involvement in international affairs and humanitarian aid efforts.
