Alexander Petschnig is an Austrian politician and member of the National Council. Born in Klagenfurt, he previously served as a member of the Burgenland state government, where he held responsibility for economy and tourism, and as a member of the Burgenland Landtag. A graduate of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Petschnig worked in investment banking and tax auditing before entering politics. He has served as the state party chairman of the Freedom Party (FPÖ) in Burgenland, overseeing significant electoral growth for the party in the region.
