Amina Srarfi is a Tunisian musician, conductor, and politician who has served as the Minister of Cultural Affairs since August 2024. A pioneer in the Arab world, she became the first female conductor in Tunisia and founded 'El'Azifet', the first all-female orchestra of classical music in the region, in 1992. Before entering government, she had a distinguished career as a violinist, singer, and music educator, having graduated from the Tunis National Conservatory of Music. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent advocate for women in the arts and has received numerous national honors, including the title of Grand Officer of the Order of Cultural Merit.
