Anbumani Ramadoss is an Indian politician and a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India. A physician by training, he previously served as the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare from 2004 to 2009, during which he launched the National Rural Health Mission and implemented significant tobacco control regulations. He is the president of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) party in Tamil Nadu and has been a prominent advocate for public health initiatives and the welfare of Sri Lankan Tamils.
