Anchya Bamana

Anchya Bamana is a French politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly for Mayotte's 2nd constituency since 2024. She is the daughter of Younoussa Bamana, the first president of the departmental council of Mayotte. A nurse by training, she previously worked for the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Mayotte as a primary care and territorial coordination manager. Bamana served as the mayor of Sada from 2014 to 2020 and remains active in local municipal and community council politics. She made history in 2024 by becoming the first woman from the National Rally to be elected as a deputy in an overseas territory.
