Andrew Murrison is a British politician and former naval medical officer who has served as the Member of Parliament for South West Wiltshire since 2010, having previously represented Westbury from 2001. A qualified doctor and Surgeon Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve, he has held various government roles, including Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence People and Families and Minister for International Security Strategy. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has been involved in defense and international development policy, and he was sworn into the Privy Council in 2019.
