Andy Watson

Andrew Geoffrey Watson is a New Zealand politician currently serving as the Mayor of the Rangitikei District. First elected to the position in 2013, he has been re-elected multiple times, including an unopposed victory in 2019. Prior to his mayoral tenure, Watson served as a councillor for the Marton ward and as Deputy Mayor. Outside of his political career, he is a businessman and was involved in the creation of the Spookers theme park. His administration has focused on regional economic development and infrastructure projects.
