Anja Weisgerber

Anja Weisgerber is a German lawyer and politician serving as a member of the Bundestag for the Schweinfurt/Kitzingen constituency since 2013. A member of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU), she previously served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2013, where she focused on environmental and consumer protection policies. In the Bundestag, she has held significant roles as a spokesperson and rapporteur on urban development and climate change. Beyond her legislative work, she is an attorney and has contributed to various parliamentary friendship groups and climate policy steering committees.
