Aoife Finnegan is an Irish politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Newry and Armagh since February 2025. A long-time Sinn Féin activist, she previously worked in the constituency office of Conor Murphy before being co-opted onto the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in 2020. She represented the Slieve Gullion DEA as a councillor until 2025, having been re-elected to the council in 2023 with the highest number of first preference votes in her area. Finnegan is a native of Crossmaglen.
