Arielle Kayabaga is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the electoral district of London West since 2021. Born in Bujumbura, Burundi, she immigrated to Canada as a refugee at age 11. Before entering federal politics, she served on the London City Council, where she made history as the first Black woman elected to the position. Kayabaga holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Carleton University and previously worked as a settlement worker for newcomers. She currently serves as the Deputy House Leader of the Government in the Canadian Parliament.
