Arup Chakraborty is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing the Bankura constituency since 2024. A member of the All India Trinamool Congress, he previously served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for the Taldangra constituency from 2021 to 2024. Before his tenure in the state assembly, he held the position of vice president of the Bankura Zila Parishad and continues to serve as the district party president for the Trinamool Congress in Bankura. He holds a B.A. and an L.L.B. degree from Ranchi University.
