Barbara Floridia

Barbara Floridia is an Italian politician and educator currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Republic. A member of the Five Star Movement, she previously served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education during the Draghi government and as the parliamentary group leader for her party in the Senate. In 2023, she was elected president of the Parliamentary Commission for the general direction and supervision of radio and television services. Before entering national politics, she worked as a teacher of literature, Italian, and Latin, and gained prominence as a vocal critic of the 'Buona scuola' reform.
