Barbara Gervin-Hawkins is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing the 120th District since 2017. Born in 1954 and raised in Michigan, she earned a degree in accounting from Eastern Michigan University in 1975. Before entering politics, she worked for the Ford Motor Company and later served as the personal accountant for her brother, NBA player George Gervin. In 1991, she co-founded the George Gervin Youth Center in San Antonio, where she has served as president and CEO.
