Ben Hood

Ben Hood is an Australian politician serving as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council since February 2023. Before entering state parliament, he was a councillor and deputy mayor for the City of Mount Gambier and worked as a creative professional, co-creating the educational children's brand George the Farmer. Aligned with the Right faction of the Liberal Party, he currently serves on the opposition front bench with shadow ministerial responsibilities including Infrastructure and Transport. In 2024, he gained national attention for introducing legislation aimed at restricting late-term abortions in South Australia.
