Benny K. Harman

Benny Kabur Harman is an Indonesian politician and a long-serving member of the People's Representative Council (DPR RI), representing the Democratic Party. Born in Manggarai, he has held his parliamentary seat since 2004 and has served in various leadership roles, including as Deputy Chairman of Commission III, which oversees law, human rights, and security. Before his political career, he was a prominent legal activist, serving as a director for the Indonesian Legal Aid Association (PBHI) and founding the Center for Information and Economic-Law Studies. Known for his focus on legal reform and anti-corruption, he has been a vocal participant in national legislative debates, including his opposition to the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.
