Bill Wielechowski

Bill Wielechowski is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Alaska Senate, currently representing District K in Northeast Anchorage. A lawyer by profession, he was first elected to the state senate in 2006 and has held various district seats throughout his tenure. Wielechowski is known for his legislative work regarding oil and gas tax credits and his legal advocacy concerning the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend, including a notable lawsuit challenging executive vetoes on dividend payments. Before his legislative career, he served on the Alaska Workers' Compensation Board and worked as associate general counsel for IBEW Local 1547.
