Bisma Asif is an Australian politician serving as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland for the district of Sandgate. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, she moved to Sydney in 2004 before eventually settling in Queensland. Asif holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and previously served as the president of Young Labor and as a political advisor to Anika Wells. She made history in 2024 as the first Muslim woman elected to the Parliament of Queensland.
