Biswajit Daimary

Biswajit Daimary is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party serving as the 17th Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly since 2021. He has represented the Panery constituency in the Assam Legislative Assembly since 2021 and previously served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing both the Bodoland People's Front and the Bharatiya Janata Party over multiple terms. He transitioned from the Bodoland People's Front to the Bharatiya Janata Party in late 2020 and has a long legislative career spanning state assembly and national parliamentary roles.
