Gerald "Boomer" Wright is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing the 9th district. Before entering the legislature in 2021, Wright had a long career in education, serving as a teacher and eventually as the superintendent of the Mapleton School District. He retired from his educational career in 2002. Wright has announced his intention to retire from the Oregon House of Representatives at the conclusion of his current term on December 31, 2026.
