Brett Ligon is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Texas State Senate, representing the 4th District. He assumed office on May 19, 2026, following a special election victory in which he defeated Democrat Ron Angeletti. Prior to his election to the state legislature, Ligon served as the District Attorney for Montgomery County. He succeeded Brandon Creighton in the Senate seat after Creighton was appointed as Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System.
