Brijesh Chowta is an Indian politician and former Indian Army officer serving as a Member of Parliament for the Dakshina Kannada constituency since 2024. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he previously held various organizational roles within the party, including state secretary for Karnataka. Before entering politics, he served in the 8th Gorkha Rifles from 2003 to 2010, participating in counter-insurgency operations. He is also known for his involvement in cultural and philanthropic initiatives in Mangaluru, including the promotion of the traditional folk sport Kambala.
