Carlo Clemens is a German politician and a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia. Born in Bamberg and raised in Offenbach, he studied German and history at the University of Cologne and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. A member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) since 2013, he previously served as the federal chairman of the Young Alternative for Germany from 2021 to 2022. In the state parliament, he acts as a spokesperson for his faction in the committees for school and education as well as construction, housing, and digitalization. Clemens has announced his intention to retire from politics at the end of the current legislative period in 2027.
