Carlos Chandía

Carlos Chandía is a Chilean politician and former international football referee who serves as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile for District No. 19, having been elected in November 2025. Previously, he had a distinguished career as a FIFA-listed football referee, officiating major matches including the Copa Libertadores finals in 2004, 2008, and 2009, before retiring from refereeing in December 2009 and heading the national refereeing commission in 2010. He later transitioned to municipal politics, serving three consecutive terms as Mayor of Coihueco from 2012 to 2024.
