Carlos Presti

Carlos Presti is an Argentine military officer and politician currently serving as the Minister of Defence of Argentina. Born in Buenos Aires, he is a graduate of the Colegio Militar de la Nación and had a distinguished career in the Argentine Army, where he reached the rank of general. He previously served as the Chief of the Argentine Army from 2024 to 2025. In December 2025, he was appointed Minister of Defence by President Javier Milei, becoming the first military officer to hold the position since the return of democracy in 1983.
