Chander Prakash Jangra

Chander Prakash Jangra is an Indian politician, Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, and retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Born in October 1957 in Hisar, Haryana, he completed his education with a B.Com and LLB before serving in numerous senior administrative roles including Divisional Commissioner and State Information Commissioner. Entering active politics with the Indian National Congress, he won the 2024 Haryana Legislative Assembly election from the Adampur constituency, defeating the rival candidate and ending a decades-long family dominance in the region.
