Charles Asuako Owiredu

Charles Asuako Owiredu is a Ghanaian politician and diplomat currently serving as the Member of Parliament for the Abirem Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Prior to his election in 2024, he held significant diplomatic roles, including serving as Ghana's High Commissioner to South Africa, Seychelles, and Mauritius. He also previously served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs during the first term of the Nana Akufo-Addo administration. Owiredu holds a diverse educational background, including degrees in education and law from institutions such as the University of Cape Coast, the University of London, and the University of Sunderland.
