Clare Adamson

Clare Adamson is a Scottish politician serving as the Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament since May 2026. A member of the Scottish National Party, she has represented the Motherwell and Wishaw constituency as a Member of the Scottish Parliament since 2016, having previously served as an additional member for the Central Scotland region from 2011. Before her parliamentary career, she worked as a computer scientist and served as a councillor for North Lanarkshire. Adamson is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University and has held various committee roles, including serving as the Convener of the Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee.
