Claude Sturni is a French politician who has served as the Mayor of Haguenau since 2008. Before entering full-time politics, he held a successful career in the biotechnology industry, notably serving as a general manager for a major firm in Molsheim. In addition to his mayoral duties, he is the president of the Haguenau agglomeration community and has served as a regional councillor for the Grand Est region since 2021, where he currently acts as a vice-president. He previously served as a member of the French National Assembly for the ninth constituency of the Bas-Rhin from 2012 to 2017.
