Costas Fytiris

Costas Fytiris is a Cypriot politician and retired rear admiral who has served as the Minister of Justice and Public Order of the Republic of Cyprus since December 2025. Born in Paralimni, he spent nearly four decades in the Cyprus National Guard, graduating from the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1982 and commanding the Joint Rescue Coordination Center from 2010 to 2018. As a high-ranking military official and key crisis manager, he played a central role in drafting national crisis management plans and establishing maritime humanitarian corridors.
