Cristian Ghinea is a Romanian politician, political scientist, and former publisher who has served in various high-level government and legislative roles. He is a prominent advocate for anti-corruption measures and European integration, having previously served as the Minister of European Funds in the technocratic government of Dacian Cioloș and later in the cabinet of Florin Cîțu. A founder of the Romanian Centre for European Policies, Ghinea was elected to the Romanian Chamber of Deputies in 2016 and subsequently served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2020, where he focused on regional development policy.
