Raised on a family farm in Fayette County, Fister previously owned and operated a construction contracting company for 34 years and served as a deputy jailer and deputy clerk. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. A member of the Central Kentucky Right to Life board of directors, Fister has focused his legislative career on representing the interests of Woodford, Franklin, and Jessamine counties.
