He previously served as the deputy minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security from 2020 until 2023, as well as a member of the 5th and 6th Parliaments of Namibia. Before his tenure in national politics, he worked in regional administration, including roles as the chief regional officer for Ohangwena Regional Council. His primary policy interests include land reform, town and regional planning, and defense and security.
