Dave Sharma is an Australian politician and former diplomat who has served as a Senator for New South Wales since 2023. Previously, he represented the electorate of Wentworth in the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Before entering federal politics, Sharma had a distinguished career in the public sector, notably serving as the Australian Ambassador to Israel from 2013 to 2017 and as head of the International Division of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. A member of the Moderate Liberal faction, he is known for his focus on foreign policy, national security, and climate change mitigation.
