
David Arnot

David Arnot is a Canadian politician, lawyer, and judge who has served as a member of the Senate of Canada representing Saskatchewan since July 2021. Before his appointment to the Senate, he held several prominent legal and public service roles, including serving as the chief commissioner of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission from 2009 to 2021. His extensive career also includes experience as a provincial court judge, a federal treaty commissioner from 1997 to 2007, and a crown prosecutor. A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Arnot was admitted to the bar in 1976 and has chaired the Canadian Senate Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
