David Eby is a Canadian politician and lawyer serving as the 37th Premier of British Columbia since 2022. A member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party, he has represented the constituency of Vancouver-Point Grey in the Legislative Assembly since 2013. Before entering politics, Eby was a prominent civil rights lawyer and executive director of the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association. During his tenure as Attorney General, he focused on housing affordability, electoral reform, and significant legal and financial restructuring of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.
