David Haley

David Haley is an American politician serving as a member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 4th district since 2001. As the longest-serving member currently in the Kansas Senate, he previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1995 to 2001. A graduate of Morehouse College and Howard University School of Law, Haley is known for advocating for criminal justice reform, including the abolition of the death penalty, and the legalization of marijuana. He represents a diverse, low-income district in Wyandotte County and has been noted for his independent approach to legislative negotiations.
