Deborah Bull, Baroness Bull

Deborah Bull, Baroness Bull, is a British life peer, former professional dancer, writer, and broadcaster. Born in 1963, she enjoyed a distinguished twenty-year career with The Royal Ballet, where she attained principal status and performed leading roles in major classical repertoire. Following her retirement from dance in 2001, she transitioned into arts administration, serving as Creative Director at the Royal Opera House and later holding senior leadership roles at King's College London. Appointed a life peer in 2018, she currently serves in the House of Lords, where she was named a Deputy Speaker in 2024. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent advocate for the arts, health, and education, contributing extensively to public service through various boards and broadcasting projects.
