A member of the Labour Party, he was confirmed as the winner of his seat in the 10th National Assembly following a legal challenge against the initial results of the 2023 election. His victory was solidified in 2024 after an Appeal Court ruling overturned the previous declaration of his opponent, Simon Atigwe, affirming Agbo's mandate to represent his constituency.
