Dieter Steger

Dieter Steger is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. Born in Brunico in 1964, he holds a law degree and has long been active within the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP). Throughout his career, he has held various roles, including director of the trade, tourism, and services union of Alto Adige and provincial councilor. In 2018, he was elected to the Italian Senate, and in 2022, he transitioned to the Chamber of Deputies. In May 2024, he was elected as the Obmann, or party president, of the SVP.
