Dodie Horton

Dodie Horton is an American politician serving as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 9, representing parts of Bossier Parish. First elected in 2015 and taking office in 2016, she previously served as a legislative assistant. A conservative Republican, Horton has focused on social issues, including authoring legislation that requires the display of the national motto 'In God We Trust' and the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms. She has also advocated for policies restricting discussions of LGBTQ topics in schools and removing legal protections for obscenity regarding educational materials.
